The white Austrian Lippizaner stallions are known worldwide for their performances at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. Not so well known is the fact that the stallions are born black or grey and turn white as they grow up. These pictures were taken in the austrian alps where the young stallions sped their summers. The project highlights our preconceived notion of the shape of horses in general which we have ingrained in our brains by taking pictures of parts of the young stallions and going further by reassembling diptychs of pictures from different horses creating the illusion of a type of alien horse, even more challenging our preconception.
